Cocoa Mountain CHOCOLATE BAR

It's amazing that I have come all the way from New York City to find the best
truffles in the world. And such a spot to find them!

Relax and smile. Enjoy stunning scenery with our superb chocolate, our "Best" Hot Chocolate, Mountain Mocha, fair-trade
organic cappuccino, latte, espresso, teas, organic cold drinks, and first class customer service

In the heart of the North-west Highlands Geo-Park, the CHOCOLATE BAR is located near to Balnakeil Bay with its long golden beaches, sea cliffs, puffins, and extraordinary sand dunes. It overlooks Loch Croispol, teaming with trout and home to otters,
and has views towards majestic peaks such as Arkle and Fionaven to the south, and westwards toward Cape Wrath
- Europe"s "last great wilderness"

Opening hours

Open every day 9am to 6pm
except Christmas Day, Boxing
Day and New Years day

Winter (October to Easter)
we open 10am to 5pm

Balnakeil Craft Village

The intriguing and historical Balnakeil Craft Village is also home to a number of craftspeople and artists, who can be seen working from studios where individual pieces of art are available to purchase - including ceramic works from Martina Macleod-Gartler, who also produces our exclusive Cocoa Mountain house pottery (see image, right)

How to find us

The Cocoa Mountain CHOCOLATE BAR is located in the Balnakeil Craft Village , half a mile north-west of Durness - the most north-westerly village on mainland Scotland.

Travelling north from Inverness to Durness, it is impossible not to travel through breathtaking scenery. We would recommend travelling via Bonar Bridge and Lairg taking the A838 from Laxford Bridge, OR the glorious west coast route via Ullapool, OR via Thurso, Bettyhill and Tongue on the North Coast

All roads offer unrivalled sightseeing, not to be missed
