Cocoa Mountain Cafe and Chocolaterie, Auchterarder
Hi, visited Cocoa Mountain in Auchterarder today for the first (but not
last) time...
Joanne and Stuart
Welcome to Auchterarder, the small Perthshire town at the foothills north of the Ochils, next to Glendevon and on the southerly edge of the Perthshire mountains, among some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland. Walk in, inhale aromas of chocolate, coffee, raspberries...whatever's on the menu. Sit, and savour our fine artisan truffles and chocolates, served with 'the best' Hot Chocolate, or Mountain Mocha, fair-trade, organic coffee - cappuccino, latte, espresso, or teas, organic cold drinks, all with first class customer service. Smile, and relax!
Known locally as the 'Lang Toon' due to the 1.5 mile long main street, Auchterarder has been a Royal Burgh since the 12th Century. Today, the thriving town is better known for the quality of the local shops and is known as a 'shoppers paradise.'
Auchterarder is also home to the world-famous Gleneagles Hotel and renowned golf courses – and hosts the highly prestigious Andrew Fairlie Restaurant, holder of 2 Michelin Stars. And with the forthcoming 40th Ryder Cup in 2014 it is truly a golfers paradise. Auchterarder also boasts several other golf courses at Auchterarder, Whitemoss, Dunning, Aberuthven, all set amongst spectacular scenery.
There are also the luxurious timeshare properties of Glenmore and Duchally nearby. And, with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee no more than an hour away, Auchterarder certainly is a destination town.
